HISTORY
The Empire was declared on August 1, 1999 by our Sovereign Emperor, Theodore I. It was created to ensure that individuals could live in peace and harmony for generations to come with little or no restrictions to our civil liberties and to ensure the economic well being of the community as a whole. These rights we hold to be most precious and will not see them infringed upon in any way whatsoever.
IMPERIAL DECREE

GOVERNMENT
The government of Hesperia is a hereditary monarchy with a Council of Ministers to aid the sovereign in decision making.
THE IMPERIAL CHANCELLERY
The Imperial Chancellery is made up of 8 members that are held in high esteem and trust to the sovereign. They comprise the voting members of the Imperial Council.
THE SOVEREIGN
Hesperia is a hereditary monarchy. The Monarch's function is to keep the government focused and clear. The Imperial succession is through the direct bloodline in the order of the first born. The Emperor is Theodore I of the House of Sizelove born on March 3, 1959. The Grand Duke and heir to the Hesperian throne is Christopher, born on July 21, 1984.

IMPERIAL HESPERIAN TREASURY
The Imperial Hesperian Treasury is responsible for the printing and minting of Hesperian currency and coins. The Treasury handles all currency exchanges and holds the Empire's reserves. The Imperial Treasurer heads the Treasury.
HESPERIAN COINAGE & CURRENCY
The coins of Hesperia are as follows...........A $10 coin made of .999 fine silver containing 1/4 oz.........A $200 coin made of .999 fine gold containing 1/4 oz. These coins are minted with a proof finish and frosted fields. They are available individually from the Treasury or as a 2 piece Proof Set.*** The rate of exchange is 1 Hesperian $ equals 1 euro

The notes of Hesperia (known as Treasury Certificates) are printed in the Old World printing methods with intricate scrollwork and rich designs. They are issued in denominations of $1 to $500. The higher denominations are issued as Treasury Notes backed by redemption in silver or gold.

WHY EXCHANGE US $ TO HESPERIAN $?
The main reason to exchange currency to Hesperian currency is that it helps fund our efforts to make the Empire a better community to live in. Also it pays for administrative costs.
There is also the collectivity factor with the Empire's coins and currency. Both are being issued in small quantities which usually equates with those issues being rare. For the coin or banknote collector, the beautiful designs will ensure that specimens will be a unique and interesting addition to their collection.
HOW THE CURRENCY EXCHANGE OPERATES
The Imperial Treasury will convert US $ to Hesperian $. We will do this in your choice of coinage or currency or both. The Treasury charges a $5 conversion fee regardless of the amount. We will convert Hesperian currency back to US Federal Reserve Notes at any time.
These exchanges help fund our efforts as mentioned before. The Treasury is now open for exchanges.
